Introduction

IEEE Computer Society SBC College of Engineering Adoor organised a webinar called XtremeLaunch 3.0 : A session on Competitive Coding. ”XtremeLaunch 3.0″ was the last session in a series designed to introduce students to the world of competitive coding. This session was tailored specifically for beginners, focusing on how to approach competitive coding challenges and strategies for improving problem-solving skills.

The session commenced with a warm welcome from Ms Albina Biju, Women
in Computing of IEEE CS SBC CEA, followed by the speaker, Mr. Joel Nickson,          Systems Engineer at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) and a seasoned competitive programmer, led the session and shared his experiences with the attendees. He broke down the process of getting started in competitive coding, from understanding the basic concepts to practising efficiently. Mr. Joel offered tips and tricks for solving coding problems and introduced useful resources for studying algorithms, data structures, and other essential topics.The attendees actively participated throughout the session,
asking questions about different coding strategies and resources. Mr. Joel addressed each query and encouraged participants to explore coding platforms and consistently practise to improve their skills.At the end of the session, the Chair of IEEE CS SB, Ms. Avani V., expressed her gratitude and delivered the vote of thanks, appreciating the speaker and the participants for making the session a success.
